My herb garden has finally fully grown! Sweet Basil, German Thyme, and Oregano on top and a lot of Cilantro on the bottom. Even my hanging tomato plant is growing.
One thing I've learned about hill country living is that Deer eat everything...even the plants that are so called "Deer Resistant"....they eat those too. So I've outsmarted them by planting my herb garden at the top of the guest house porch.
I feel inspired to make a tomato, basil, & mozzarella salad. It's a classic italian dish called "Caprese Salad". Get the recipe here.
